Well I can't wait to see the skins play, but thats not the only great thing that has happened this weekend. I saw BORAT! and it was by far the best movie I've ever seen. I highly suggest it, and truly believe that it will become a cult movie.
Now to the skins. This game worries me, epically since I have $5 on every touchdown. I can't think of anything worse than the team not showing up willing to play. This game could be lost in the 1st quater, or in the end, but the game will defiantly not be won if we continue our horrible play. This game rests soley on the shoulders of Gregg Williams and the defense, if they want to make it a game Sunday, they are the only ones that can.

Well I was lazy yesterday, but i'm going to be lazy again today. Here is a list of our injuries, (copied from CBS sportswire)

With starting quarterback Mark Brunell missing a third consecutive practice due to pulled rib muscles and with young quarterback Tony Romo having been so impressive in his first start for Dallas on Sunday night, Jason Campbell was the focus of a lot of attention as the Redskins returned to work Monday after a four-day break that ended their bye week.

"I'm getting more and more comfortable," said Campbell, who split the first-team snaps with veteran backup Todd Collins after taking the bulk of that work in the previous two practices, Oct. 24-25. "Doing it last week, I was able to carry over things to this week. It made me feel like I wasn't an outsider looking in, that I was actually in the group. You can know everything you need to know, but you have to build that chemistry."

Campbell, for whom Washington traded three picks to move up and draft in 2005, was impressed with Romo, who waited more than three seasons for the chance to start for Dallas.

"(Romo) played with a lot of poise," said Campbell, who has yet to play a snap in his 23 career games. "That's something you have to do when your first time comes. No matter how many starts you've had, you have to play aggressive ... You've just got to stay patient, stay confident, stay positive until your number is called. You go through different trials in life. Hopefully (I'm a backup) for a reason and it will pay off one day. I've seen guys thrown in there who weren't ready. I've seen guys who've had to wait ... (San Diego's) Philip Rivers is having a good year (after sitting for two seasons). I support Mark every way. Until my time comes, I will always support him."

Brunell said that he expects "to be back strong" for Tuesday's practice and that he'll start against Dallas. Coach Joe Gibbs said that there has been no change in the order of his quarterbacks in which Collins would play if Brunell were hurt during a game while Campbell would start if Brunell is out long term. Gibbs added that he talks to Campbell "a lot about patience," but said, "Anytime Jason gets to work, it's good for him and good for us."

Defensive end Renaldo Wynn said that changing quarterbacks can be good.

"Sometimes you just need something new, a changeup, a little bit of a spark," Wynn said. "Romo brings some new energy, gives them a better chance to be successful. His first time certainly worked out well for him, and it will continue to build confidence in him and his team. He's still learning, but he does get out of the pocket. He made four first downs with his legs (against the Panthers). It was a risk, but it looks good for them right now."

Asked if the Redskins might get a similar lift by benching the inconsistent Brunell for Campbell, receiver Santana Moss remained fully supportive of the 36-year-old veteran.

"I have 150 percent confidence in the guy throwing the ball," Moss said. "It's not something we need to get riled about."

The Keys to Beat Dallas

Earlier today I was wondering what I should write about. I thought about the game next week to Dallas, and immense anger shivered though me straight to the bone. I realized that this was a game we could win, we have just not been using our players to the proper potential. What could we do to use everybody every down to pull out the win. And the idea for what to write about this week came to me, the 7 keys to beat Dallas! Everyday up until this fateful Sunday I'll talk about 1 of the keys to a Skins victory.

Key 7: Create Turnovers

Right now, the Redskins are 31st in the league in interceptions, behind only the Houston Texans. This is despicable compared to our ranking of tied for 13th last year. This inability has lead to a horrible average field position this year. With our defense as horrible as it is. Turnovers will keep them off the field longer, and give our offense a better chance of scoring.

Week 8 Predictions

Chicago crushes San Francisco at home, look for a good game from Rex Grossman

Philly beats a underperforming Jacksonville unit in a game that is as close as McNabb wants it to be, however, if Leftwich is out, the game could be a lot closer

Pittsburgh beats Oakland, with or with out Big Ben

Cleveland losses to the Jets, Coles puts up lots of yards

Dallas loses to Carolina, with the inexperienced Romo under center

Both the Saints and Ravens are coming off of a bye week, both teams also have really put together a legitimate squad. McNair is questionable, but he is the type of guy that will play through the pain, the question is, will it affect him? I think the Saints win in a really close one.

Seattle is missing their offensive guru Matt Hasselbeck. This makes me question whether a truly west coast offenses and function properly with out their quarterback. Additionally, Shaun Alexander is doubtful. Who will step up to run the offense? Kansas City wins in the 3rd quarter.

Arizona will continue to do what they do well, lose. Favre leads the Packers to a win. Green Bay over Arizona.

Vick has had a great year, and will continue to play well against a banged up Bangles secondary. Falcons win.

Houston coming off of an emotional win to Jacksonville beat the Titians in there own house.

Tampa Bay has a great day defensively against Manning and the Giants, and Ronde has some more INTs, Tampa wins this one.

San Deigo has been in turmoil since the NFL announced that Shawn Merriman Shawn tested positive for steroid use, but even with the distractions San Diego pulls off the W over St. Louis

Peyton Manning dissects Denver's secondary and leads the Colts to a win over the Broncos.

And lastly, on Monday night the Vikings win by a field goal over New England.

Cambell Highlights

Cambell or Burnell?

This question has been on the minds of Skins fans since that fateful day over a year ago where Cambell and Carlos Rodgers were selected in the first round of the Draft. So far Gibbs has openly stated that Cambell is the future of the franchise. If Cambell is the future, how long are we going to have to live in the past?

Dispute Burnell being 9th in the NFL in most total yard passing, the majority of those yards come when we are either completely out of a game, or in useless drives that expire at the end of the half with no points. Burnell is a sitting duck in the pocket, which can't really be blamed on the offensive line, because Burnell is normally sacked after holding onto the ball way too long. Burnell never looks past his first check Santana Moss, and it shows, Lloyd and Randle El have been almost non-existent in the offence.

This bye-week is the perfect opportunity to hand over the offense to Cambell. His fresh eyes (and legs) show give the offense the spark to pull the season back together. We are 2-5 if we won the rest of our games we would finish 11-5. However, we would have to beat Philly twice, the Panthers once, the Saints once, Dallas once, and the Giants once. All of those games look like losses right now, unless the team can kick it into gear.

To a true skin’s fan, a week without Sean Taylor's bone cracking hits is like a week with out sex. It sucks, but you know it won't last forever (unless you don't have any game, or it’s the off season). But, a bye week is probably what the team needs right now. With a dismal 2-5 record, Gibbs needs to get the team into high gear. The bye will give him time to get the offenses gas flowing again (with Jason Campbell in the drivers seat perchance?) The bye will could also give Gregg Williams time to whip the underperforming (31st in the NFL) defense back into shape. Also, equally important is the fact that New York, Dallas, and Philadelphia, have tough games, which they have the potential to lose.

New York, coming off of a Monday Night Win against the Cowboys, is looking strong, but suffered the loss of Arrington, and other key players were banged up, plays Tampa Bay. While Tampa's record is less then stellar, in last weeks exciting win, they showed that they were a team that you could get excited about. They hung in a tough game with a potential playoff team, and caused the frontrunner for MVP, Donovan McNabb, to throw 3 interceptions. Look for less experienced Manning to have some picked off. Tampa also is playing with something to prove, going into as giant underdogs; critics have called the win a fluke. Look for team leaders like Cadillac Williams, and Ronde Barber to step it up during the week and create some real motivation for the players. My prediction Tampa wins 28-20

Next we'll talk about Philadelphia. Like I mentioned before, they had a stunning loss, against Tampa Bay, which left the Organization speechless. They play a weak Jaguars team, which lost to Houston last week. While the Jaguars, have underperformed lately, if there defense gets started, watch out, this game could be down to the wire. Unfortunately, I don't think that the Jags can pull it off, McNabb has a great game, and the Philly's D plays their A game. Final Score Philly 35, Jags 21.

Lastly, we'll look at Dallas. Also mentioned earlier, Dallas had a touch loss to the Giants. Romo finally got his playing time, he squirmed his way though the pocket to avoid some sacks, but threw some balls where he shouldn't have. He looked like a typical young quarterback under pressure to perform. Dallas plays an underrated Carolina team, which has really come around since the season's start. If Romo starts, the Panther's Defense could score some points of interceptions, but if Drew Bledsoe gets the start, then Julius Peppers, and the rest of the defense could record an outstanding number of sacks. Because of more weaknesses in Dallas' O-line, virtually no running game can be expected. Final Score Panthers 17 Dallas 10.
